Name: Sportsman's Golden Paradise, CGC Origin of Name: Since Sport was born so far away, we had to figure out how to make him as much of a Louisiana dog as possible. With Louisiana's nickname being "Sportsman's Paradise" & Sport having sporting in his blood, we found "Sportsman's Golden Paradise" a perfect fit! Weighing in the 60's, Grace is a very calm, obedient Golden who lounges around the house or yard all day. But when you ask her if she wants to go for a ride, she breaks loose. She LOVES to go...whether it's car, truck, or bike rides. The only thing that would make her happier is if the ride is to the pond, where she can swim & retrieve her heart out!!! |

Grace produced many wonderful Goldens, including two of her daughters that we kept for ourselves - Peace & Joy (seen above). Now she is buried with Sport in their favorite place - behind the pond. Grace gave us wonderful years of love & companionship. We miss her enormously!! |

Since Sport retired, there were big paws left to fill, & Deuce has not disappointed us on any level. We were ecstatic to get Deuce - a close relative to Sport & another fine blend of both hunting & show dog champions. Deuce has a wonderful personality & is eager-to-please! Deuce is one who will bring you a slobbery wet tennis ball, set it in your lap, & beg you to throw it for him. Usually he's along for the adventure when we're out at the pond or on the 4-wheeler, but if for some reason we try to leave him behind, it's of no use. Name Grindol's Li'l Peace of Grace Origin of Name I must preface this by saying we are very thankful & give praise to God for all the ways he has immensely blessed our lives. Though there have been times in our lives when things have happened that don't make any logical sense. It's in these times when God has given us His perfect Peace - knowing that God is the one in control of our lives & has our best interest in mind, whether we like the circumstances or not! We gave Peace her name to remind us of those times & to encourage us to have faith to trust God always! Especially when she gets really excited, she'll let out this cute little growl/howl as she bounces up and down right in front of us. We know she's telling us "something"! She also lifts gate latches with her nose! If you forget to put on the lock, she'll free herself in a matter of seconds. Smart girl! As if she hasn't already proven herself as a wonderful mother, she went above & beyond when she nursed & raised an orphaned litter of 12 puppies for us. My hero! What a huge helper!
